Riders continually encounter mental and emotional challenges and how we cope with them greatly influences our ability to succeed.
Coach Stewart has spent 30-years developing a series of sport psychology, game-inspired riding clinics (called Jenga, Lego, Tetris, Subway-Surfer, Crazy-Eights, Connect-four, Twister, and Capture-the-Flag) that are as enjoyable to teach as they are beneficial to take. Each clinic is designed to help riders build mental resilience by learning how to cope with fears and failures, boost confidence and concentration, overcome mistakes and memories, and stop show-jitters.

Our Venue
Harmony Hills Equestrian Academy
HHEA is a brand-new, state-of-the-art equestrian facility dedicated to the continuing education of riders, horses and trainers alike. It is home to a 2,000 sqft. climate-controlled indoor arena with TruStride synthetic footing and advanced electronics, filming and video-conferencing capabilities, a comfortable observation area, large classroom, well-appointed fitness and Pilates center, a catering kitchen and stalls for over 25 horses.
Getting Here from There
HHEA is located in Northern Virginia and close to all three major Washington DC area airports, the closest being Regan International which is only a short 25-minute drive or Uber ride away. It is also very easily accessible to the I-95 corridor.
Accommodations and Meals
Coaches attending the course have the choice of staying in a team hotel in Lorton VA or in a shared townhouse, both only minutes from HHEA. Coaches living near HHEA are welcome to return home in the evenings. All meals will be served at the academy and are included in the cost.
Setbacks to Comebacks
Motivated by the belief that a rider's head, heart and mental health are just as important as their hips, heels and hands, the Pressure Proof Coaching Academy based at Harmony Hills and led by Head Coach Daniel Stewart prides itself on being the only education program in the US that specializes in equestrian sport psychology strategies to help riders overcome the many mental challenges associated with our sport including fears, failure and frustrations: tears, trauma and trust; mistakes, missed-opportunities and memories.
Regardless of the mental challenge, the PPCA is proudly dedicated to helping trainers help their riders overcome whatever overwhelms them!

Course Format
Pre and Post Clinics
Prior to class all coaches will receive detailed written and video instructions on how to design and teach each of the eight PPCA clinics. Our time at HHEA will then be spent discussing the point-and-purpose of each clinic, building their unique courses, and teaching demo horse-and-rider pairs to perform them. Follow-up team discussions and Q&A's will ensure all participants understand the clinics and feel proficient teaching them when they return home.
No Hauling - No Hassle
HHEA provides all the horses and riders used to demonstrate each of the eight clinics. Coaching participants may, however, elect to ride and experience the clinics firsthand and are, therefore, welcome to bring their riding gear and helmet with them (riding in the clinic is optional, not mandatory).
Livestream Options
Coaches wishing to participate in the course and learn the clinics but are unable to travel to VA for the live event are invited to join by live-stream or watch the class recording on to their own time. See below for more information and pricing.
